Sport Ngin becomes Exclusive Technology Provider of Minnesota Hockey and sponsor of Minnesota Hockey Association ‘Leader Excellence’ Conference

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn –  SportsEngine announced today a partnership to strengthen its relationship with Minnesota Hockey, one of the largest USA Hockey districts with over 66,000 player, coach and official members.  The multi-year partnership expands their already long-term technology relationship, and now includes SportsEngine participation as thought leaders at the Minnesota Hockey Association Leader Excellence Conference.

“Our very first customers were hockey associations in Minnesota, and over the past 8 years, we’ve grown to service hundreds of thousands of associations, clubs, leagues, athletes and families in Minnesota alone,” said Justin Kaufenberg, chief executive officer at SportsEngine. “For several years we’ve also hosted Minnesota Hockey’s website, tournament management system, online registration, background screening and member verification services. We’re honored to take the next step and help provide our expert guidance to association leaders on how to best utilize SportsEngine to play smarter and live more.”

Thousands of sports organizations have chosen SportsEngine to run their website, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps. Through these applications, over 500,000 sports teams, clubs and leagues are able to drastically reduce the time they spend on administration and communication, allowing them to focus on spending time with their athletes. Momentum in all sports has accelerated for SportsEngine with recent agreements signed with governing bodies, organizations and teams.

“SportsEngine technology has not only helped Minnesota Hockey manage our operations, but has made a significant positive impact for our member associations,” said Glen Andresen, Executive Director of Minnesota Hockey. “We see that many of the best run youth organizations are using SportsEngine, and we are excited to have them at our upcoming Association Leader Excellence Conference to provide deeper insight for our members.”

Minnesota Hockey recently completed their 2016 region and state tournaments, providing up-to-date scores and schedules to teams and fans via Sport Ngin Tourney. This summer, they will be launching an all new website at www.minnesotahockey.org designed by SportsEngine’s internal design team.

The Minnesota Hockey Association Leader Excellence Conference is May 7, 2016 in St. Louis Park, MN. Sport Ngin will be leading sessions on communications through digital media and managing association finances.
