Minnesota Hockey today announced the boys and girls hockey players born in 2007 who have been selected to participate in USA Hockey’s National Player Development Camps this summer. The national camps serve as the final component of the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Programs and provides young players their first exposure to the best players from across the country at their age level.

“We’re excited to announce the players that will be representing Minnesota at the national camps this summer,” said High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan. “This is a great moment in each of their young careers. It will be an opportunity for them to train with and against the best players in the country.”

The Girls 15 Player Development Camp will be held July 9-14 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, MN. Two girls from Minnesota has been invited to the Girls Under-18 Select Development Camp which will take place July 15-21 in St. Cloud. The Boys Select 15 Development Camp will be held July 15-20 at Northtown Center in Amherst, NY. New this year, USA Hockey will be hosting special three-day goalie camps for the boys and girls preceding the main 15 camps.

The national camp participants were selected based on the players’ performance at the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Girls 15 and Boys 15 Summer Development Camps held the past two weeks in St. Cloud, MN.  The summer development camps provide a week of high intensity on- and off-ice training, classroom sessions and a series of speakers in addition to the evaluations.
