St. Paul, MN – April 5, 2022 – Minnesota Hockey today announced it will host the fourth Gold Rush Girls Hockey Camp, featuring instruction from U.S. Olympians and Minnesota Whitecaps. The four-day camp will be held August 1 – August 4 at the Burnsville Ice Arena in Burnsville, Minn.
“I'm really looking forward to Minnesota Hockey’s Gold Rush Girls Hockey Camp this summer," said 2018 Olympic gold medalist and camp instructor Sidney Morin. "Hockey has been such a big part of my life, and it brings me so much joy to be making a positive impact on young girls. With the passion and excitement we see each year at this camp, I know the future of girls hockey is bright in Minnesota.”
The camp will provide players with four hours of on-ice skill instruction over a four-day span. In addition to on-ice instruction, the camp will also include daily off-ice athletic activities to promote the importance of multi-sport athletes, and an opportunity for photographs and autographs with the Olympians.
The camp will be limited to 40 participants at the 8U camp, and 40 participants at the 10U/12U camp. All spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost for the camp is $250 for 10U/12U players and will be $80 for 8U players.
With assistance from U.S. Olympians and Minnesota Whitecaps, the on-ice sessions and dryland training will be led by Minnesota Hockey’s Brooke White-Lancette and her certified Minnesota Development Model coaches.
