HP14 Boys move-in and take to the ice for the first time.

The HP14 Boys kicked off camp with the Player/Parent Summit and round one of games.

Teams White and Gold square off on Sunday afternoon.

The players moved in Sunday morning before heading over to the rink for the Player/Parent Summit. Teams held their first practices in the early afternoon in anticipation of the opening games later in the day.

Gold (3) vs. White (3)

Gold and White played an entertaining, back-and-forth affair to kick off B14 camp. White struck twice in the opening half with Hagen Burrows (Orono) scoring both goals. Thomas Boisjolie (Lakeville South) scored for Gold with 6:57 to play in the first half.

White padded its lead with 9:11 to play in the second half on a goal by Andrew Pitts (Minneapolis). This set the stage for a late comeback by Gold, starting with a goal by Caden Sampair (Mahtomedi) with 4:45 to play. Cooper Conway (Andover) scored for Gold with 1:48 to play, leading to the 3-3 tie. Gold outshot White 40-31 in the contest.

Royal (7) vs. Sky Blue (0)

The lopsided scoreboard does not necessarily speak to the flow of this game. Final shots on goal were even at 22 apiece. Brock Carls (Coon Rapids) opened the scoring with 17:13 remaining in the first half. Jayson Shaugabay (Warroad) scored the first of his two goals with 9:08 to play in the half.

Gavin Garry (Minnetonka) and Landon Mackcow (Brainerd) each added a goal to give Royal a 4-0 lead heading to the break. Jake Fisher (Woodbury) scored the final two goals in the contest.

Green (3) vs. Red (2)

Team Green's victory over Team Red provided a dramatic end to Day 1 as Jaxon Gustafson (Hutchinson) scored the winning goal with two seconds remaining.

Red opened the scoring at 9:02 of the first half with a goal by David Wolsfeld (Mahtomedi). Green answered via a goal from Holden Saumweber (Sioux Falls) at 11:29 to send it to halftime tied. Green forward Alex Lunski (Chaska Channhassen) gave his team the lead early in the second half, but Red equalized via Connor Davis (Wadena) with 7:18 to play. Green held a narrow 31-29 edge in shots on goal.

Teams Green and Red battle for the puck in the corner.
