Section 8A/8AA – 10, Section 3A/3AA – 3

A hat trick by Hannah Cornliusen (Warroad) would lead Section 8A/8AA to a 10-3 victory over Section 3A/3AA. Ava Kistner (Moorhead) would start the scoring converting on a pass from Jordann Swingle (St. Cloud). Cornliusen then scored her first on a pass from Jordyn Bergstrom (Roseau). Section 8A/8AA would then extend the lead to five with three goals by Anika Stoskopf (Roseau), Kistner, and Lauren Wensel (Sartell), respectively, to end the first period. Assists would come from Sydney Phaneuf (Warroad), Shelby Breiland (Thief River Falls), Brianna Krejci (Moorhead), and Kistner. Section 3A/3AA would get on the board with an unassisted goal from Sydney Kanstrup (Mankato East) before Cornliusen would complete her hat trick, the second unassisted, the third coming on passes from Abbey Hardwich (Warroad) and Bergstrom. The end of the second period would see the teams trade back and forth goals. Zoe Chadwick (Burnsville) would score an assist from Rae Ann Seaton (Wayzata). Stoskopf would then score on a pass from Catherine Lanctot (Warroad). Kanstrup would get her second unassisted tally before Jada Habisch (Buffalo) answered with her own. Breiland would end the scoring on a pass from Sophie Robinson (Brainerd). Section 8A/8AA goalie tandem of Nettie Kimble (Bemidji) and Gebriella Stelle (Thief River Falls) would make thirteen saves while Section 3A/3AA goaltenders Amelia Julian (Eastview) and Emerald Kelley (East Ridge) would make sixty saves.

Section 1A/1AA - 3, Section 6A/6AA – 2

The second quarter final of the day would find all the scoring in the second half, and one tally in overtime. Section 1A/1AA would strike first on an unassisted goal by Olivia Williamson (Faribault) with 20:34 left in the second. Nearly a minute later Kathryn Davis (Edina) would tie the game. With 10:40 left in the period Maya Jones (Benilde-St. Magaret’s) would give Section 6A/6AA their first lead of the game. Brooke Power (Lakeville North) converted on a pass from Sydney Antonakis (Lakeville North) with 7:23 left in the half to tie the game. With just over one-minute left in overtime, Abigail Wick (Rochester Lourdes) finished a two-on-one pass from Mackenzie Smith (Lakeville South) to give 1A/1AA the 3-2 win. First half goaltenders Clare Bergeron (Wayzata) and Amanda Lackmann (Lakeville North) would make four, and ten, saves respectively. In the second half Rose Beeman (Benilde-St. Margaret’s) made eight saves, while Corrin Hanson (Rochester Lourdes) made eleven saves.

Section 4A/4AA – 2, Section 5A/5AA – 1

The showdown between Section 4A/4AA and Section 5A/5AA proved to be a low-scoring, defensive battle. All four goaltenders, Anna Julius (Woodbury), Rachel Kennedy (Hill Murray), Eliya Johnson (Coon Rapids), and Anna Gilgosch (Centennial) proved strong in net. Isabel Chmielewski (Woodbury) would start the scoring on a pass from Brynn Sexauer (South Saint Paul). Lauren Stenslie (Maple Grove) then tied the game late in the first with an assist from Abigail Patin (Rogers). With twenty minutes left, Chmielewski would finish a pass from Isabel Lippai (Woodbury) to score the game winning goal.

Section 2A/2AA - 3, Section 7A/7AA - 4

The last quarterfinal game of the day proved to be a thriller, as Section 7A/7AA would come back from a 1-3 deficit to beat Section 2A/2AA, 4-3. Lacey Martin (Minnetonka) would start the scoring before Grace Berg (Andover) tied the game. At the ten-minute mark in the first, Martin scored her second on feeds from Ellie Alvarez (Minnetonka) and Keely Olness (Minnesota River). Five minutes later, Sydney Langseth (Eden Prairie) would give Section 2A/2AA a two-goal lead with assists from Nora Wagner (Eden Prairie) and Rory Guilday (Minnetonka). Section 7A/7AA first half goaltender Allyn Goehner (Forest Lake) made eleven saves, while Section 2A/2AA goalie Olivia Rinzel (Chaska) would make ten saves in the first half. It was all Section 7A/7AA in the second half. Rachel Golnitz (Forest Lake) would bring the game to within one with 14:36 left in the half. Claire Vekich (Grand Rapids) would then get the game-tying goal on an unassisted play. Vekich would take a feed from Jamie Nelson (Andover) with 1:01 remaining to win the game. Josephine Bothun (Forest Lake) would post a second half shut out for Section 7A/7AA, while Brynn Dulac would turn away nineteen shots for Section 2A/2AA.
