Girls 15 Summer Camp Recap: Day 2

Green 3, Gold 3

The first game of the day was split in two, with the Gold and Green teams each dominating one half to finish the game in a 3-3 tie. 

In the first half, Sophie Ilc (Hill Murray), Kathryn Zakrajsheck (Breck) and Kylie Amelkovich (Shattuck St. Mary's) all scored to give Gold a 3-0 lead heading into the second half. Grace Kemp (Cretin Derham Hall) stopped all six shots that she saw.

In the second half, Ellie Stewart (Benilde St. Margaret's), Tessa Boden (Champlin Park/Coon Rapids) and Callie Arthur (Blake) all scored to tie the game at 3-3. Kayla Swartout (Holy Family) stopped all seventeen shots that she faced.

White 1, Royal 2

In a low-scoring match, the Royal and White teams played a defensively sound game with strong goaltending on both sides. 

All three goals came in the second half, with Emma Peroutka (Northfield) getting White on the board first before Royal responded with two goals to take the lead and eventually win from Madelyn Lee (White Bear Lake) and Alexis Giller (Farmington).

Makenna Underwood (Farmington) stopped all thirteen shots that she saw, while Tyler Jabs (Minnetonka) stopped ten of the eleven shots that she faced for the Royal team.

Emma Mateck (Wayzata) stopped all five shots that she saw in the first half, and Charlotte Oscarson (Roseville) stopped eighteen of the twenty shots that she saw.

Sky Blue 1, Red 1

In another low-scoring game, the Sky Blue and Red teams finished the night with a 1-1 tie for the second tie of the day.

Taylor Krieg (Rosemount) scored the first goal of the day for the Red team before Brenna Maas (Rosemount) tied it up in the second half.

Gianna Marchese (Rosemount) stopped all ten shots that she faced for Red. Ava Cahill (Hill Murray) stopped twenty of the twenty-one shots that she saw in the first half, and Talyn Anderson (Detroit Lakes) stopped all sixteen shots that she saw in the second half.
