As the governing body for youth hockey in Minnesota, Minnesota Hockey is committed to providing our community based associations with the training, education and resources they need to grow the game, maximize player development, and ensure participant safety.

Hockey Education Program (HEP):   HEP ensures a positive athletic experience for youth hockey players by integrating a progressive approach to skill development with coaching excellence and accountability through Fair Play

Safety:  Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey with the support of coaches, officials and association leaders have worked hard at providing a safe environment for players by offering a number of safety programs and resources.

Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Grant program offers youth hockey in Minnesota the opportunity to receive up to $500 to offset the costs associated with hosting PCA parent workshops in their communities. 

Hard Divider Program: The Minnesota Hockey Hard Divider Program is designed to aid our community based associations and their home rinks in promoting the growth of ice hockey through the implementation of cross-ice hockey.

Coaching Excellence Award:  The Coaching Excellence Award recognizes youth hockey coaches at all levels whose behaviors provide for a positive athletic experience allowing players to develop to their greatest potential, have fun and learn to love the game.

Recruitment & Retention:  Growing the game of hockey is a main priority for all youth hockey programs.  These resources are dedicated to helping local leaders recruit new players and retain existing players through communication, education, and the promotion of the game of hockey

Scholarships:  Each year Minnesota Hockey offers scholarship awards to eligible, registered members of Minnesota Hockey. These scholarships can be used at any post high school institution and are a one-time award.
