Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute practice sessions that focus on fundamental skills, game strategies, and team cohesion.
- Lead and manage the team during practices and games, ensuring a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Develop individual player skills and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the association's administration.
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with other coaches to support a cohesive hockey program.

Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, ideally with U12/U13 girls or similar age groups.
- Strong understanding of hockey fundamentals, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- USA Hockey Coaching Certification Level 1 or higher (or willingness to pursue).

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing age-appropriate drills and training sessions.
- Knowledge of player development and the ability to adapt to various skill levels.
- Positive, patient, and supportive coaching style.

St Louis Park Peewee C Head Coach Opportunity - Paid Position

Looking for a low stress, highly fulfilling opportunity to coach youth hockey? St. Louis Park is looking for a dependable and passionate head coach for the Peewee C team this winter who knows and loves the game. St. Louis Park is a small and proud Association. You'll appreciate having reasonable ice times (no 7am or 10pm) and all practices are at the St Louis Park Rec Center. No need to run around to rinks all over the metro for practices.   

  • Season starts October 1 with pre season clinic beginning September
  • 4-6 on ice events per week, all practices at SLP Rec Center
  • 3 tournaments total, out of town tournament in Breezy Point Feb 14-16
  • Out of town tournament expenses covered plus reimbursement for coaching certification fees
  • Competitive pay
  • Support from external skills partners such as Fortis

This person needs to fulfill the normal duties of coaching in terms of being prepared with practice plans, attend all games, practices and team events, communicate with parents (don't worry they're not crazy), and create a positive team environment.

Waconia Hockey Association Coaching Opportunities - Boys and Girls

The Waconia Hockey Association is looking for non-parent coaches applicants at the Bantam, U12, Peewee, Squirt and U10 levels for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Non-parent coaches and non-parent assistant coaches are paid, including paid travel for out of town tournaments and reimbursement of expenses. (Head non-parent Coach- $4,000, Assistant non-parent Coach - $1,500, $1,500 total coaches expenses per team, all coaches combined). 

The Waconia Hockey Association is a growing association and is dedicated to the development and advancement of their athletes. The WHA has a top tier in-season off ice program for competitive teams, robust practice schedule, and an experienced and supportive hockey development committee that will support coaches needs/requests. 

Qualifications: 

  • Candidates should have ice hockey coaching and playing experience 
  • 3 + Years experience coaching at applied level or higher preferred but not required. 
  • Multiple year commitment to head coaching role preferred
  • Non-parent of current WHA athlete preferred
  • Schedule allows to be present a vast majority of games and practices, including evenings and weekends. 
  • Ability to travel within the state of Minnesota 
  • Hiring is conditional on the successful completion of a criminal background check; applicants should also either possess or be able to attain required background clearances and necessary USA Hockey coaching certification.

Wayzata Youth Hockey Association is seeking paid coaches for our youth hockey teams located in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Opportunities include both girls and boys for the following levels:

Qualified candidates will be offered a competitive salary (Head Coach base salary of up to $5,000 based on experience and level) with additional benefits for hotel, travel, and reimbursement for coaching requirements and registrations.
