The Minnesota Hockey CCM High Performance Youth 16U Prospects League is designed to give hockey players born in 2009 & 2010 (non-bantam eligible) the opportunity to train and compete against players of similar age and ability. The Prospects League is built in conjunction with our HP Tier I League and is conducted in accordance with USA Hockey rules. All teams are eligible for USA Hockey’s Tier II National Championships.
The Prospects League is focused on preparing players for their upcoming high school season and future CCM High Performance through an emphasis on player development. Players will train and play games August - October, including a league playoff with the chance of playing for USA Hockey National Championship advancement.
The 16U League will again have four teams, competing with game weekends beginning mid-August. There will be a pre-season training camp and seven regular season weekends. The Minnesota District Playoff to determine the team that will represent Minnesota at the USA Hockey National Championships in April, 2026 will be held in early November.
Eligible players include all 2009 players that tried out for the MN 16 Tier I program, 2010 players that tried out for their local district 15O programs, and 2009 and 2010 (non-Bantam eligible) players that played at a B1, A or AA bantam program last season. 2009 and 2010 players who participated in the Tier I tryouts will be invited to participate in the tryouts/evaluations. Following the evaluations, four teams will be formed, split evenly by evaluators & coaching staff.
