If you made a mistake they would explain it, and gave you time to change it and try it, they allowed you to take time on your own to work and fix on whatever the problem was or what they wanted you to try out. They took suggestions about different drills and gave you feedback. For example, I had asked if we were going to do a certain drill, or more specifically do a drill to work a specific movement and they said they weren’t but took in the suggestion and asked a little bit more about it. They were all super excited and friendly, everyone was genuinely happy to be there and work with all of us. I also think it was super awesome of them to bring in out of state, and even out of country coaches. It was overall such a great experience and I’m so happy I did it. I can’t wait for it next year!" |

All the coaches were open to the way you play but also gave you options to become fast and more efficient with your movements. I also loved the way each coach played and coached differently. It does not sound like it would be good, but the way you learn something different from each coach was amazing. At the end of the day, they are all had super good examples and opinions for you as your own goalie to chose from. The coaches were very understanding about the way you play and the way you do things. Each and every time I stepped onto the ice I had a smile because I knew I was going to learn a lot from these coaches. They were there to learn and have fun at the same time. I think that is the most important thing in the sport, even when we were on the ice for the second time on the same day and my legs hurt, and I just wanted to clock out and be done, I stepped on that ice and I was excited to just have the experience to go and work with all the coaches. I think it was the best experience I’ve had with a goalie camp. The off-ice was so much fun too, all the speakers we had were so incredible and put some great things into my head. It was even better getting to hear about everyone’s story and how they are so different. I really think this camp was worth all the nerves I had prior to going to it. I got there and I was like this is scary, all these coaches and all these goalies they are so good and all the thoughts I had going through my head. I got on the ice and all the goalies are so fun to be around. There is absolutely no judgment at this camp. You go there and be you and it is so open you and not everyone at the same time. I wish it was a longer camp. I enjoyed it so much! I recommend this to all goalies, all ages. I learned a lot from all the coaches and even from the other goalies. It is a very fun experience! |

The variety of coaches and 12 hours of ice time allows goalies to learn and improve different techniques and tools to enhance their game. One of the best things about the camp is that it is an entire weekend just for goalies! Both on and off-ice sessions are designed for goalies which is wonderful! Also, it's rare to be surrounded by 50 other goalies at the same time, so talking about our different routines and game experiences was cool because I got the chance to see inside the minds of other hockey players (goalies) just like me who also love the game of hockey. |

There are both on-ice and off-ice sessions where a goalie will get the opportunity to have multiple coaches work and teach you different things to help improve your game. I really enjoyed having multiple coaches to help us there because each one of them sees something different in your play that can help you get better if you work on it. The coaches also don't try to change how you play, they want to help you improve your own game. There are also college goalies as counselors there that can teach you about their road to college and they can also help you improve your game as well. I believe everyone who went to this camp got better from the time they arrived until the time the camp was over. There is not a camp out there that will help a goalie learn and improve more than at this camp. |
