Youth Tier I 15O

The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Tier I Leagues provide the top players from each district or section a chance to play with and against the best players in the state.  For the 2024 - 2025 season, the Youth 15 classification is for players born in 2009.  The Leagues are conducted in accordance with USA Hockey rules and all teams are eligible for USA Hockey’s Tier I National Championships.

The Youth 15 Tier I League will have 8 teams this season. These will be teams from the 12 Minnesota Hockey districts: Loons (District 2), Walleye (District 3), Polars (Districts 4/5), Lakers (District 6), Moose (Districts 8/9), Green Giants (District 10), Voyageurs (Districts 11/12) and Blue Ox (Districts 15/16). 

The tryout process will begin in June with competition weekends starting in August and running through late September. As part of the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs, there will be 18 on-ice skill development practices, eight off-ice training sessions, and at least 20 games including league games, Hockey Federation Showcase and playoffs. 

2024-25 YOUTH 15 SCHEDULE

June/July - Tryouts

To be eligible for tryouts, players should have played on an A/AA team during the 2024-25 season. If your association did not field an A/AA team, B players are eligible to tryout. Contact your District GM below with questions.

August & September - Local practice sessions & competition weekends

  • Aug. 16 - 18 - South St. Paul
  • Aug. 23 - 25 - South St. Paul
  • Sept. 6 - 8 - Elk River
  • Sept. 13 - 15 - Minnesota Showcase in Elk River
  • Sept. 20 - 22 - Elk River
  • Sept. 27 - 29 - League Playoffs in Elk River

Oct. 4 - 6 - Minnesota District Playoff (Plymouth)
The winner shall advance to the USA Hockey National Championships.

April 1 - 6, 2025 - Madison, Wisconsin - 2025 USA Hockey Tier I National Championships
