On Hockey Day Minnesota 2019, Minnesota Hockey announced Nikolai Kaliszewski, a Mite player from Woodland Amateur Hockey Association in Duluth as the winner of the 2018-19 HEP Essay Contest, presented by Park Dental. 

Kaliszewski was one of three contest finalists that were highlighted on Fox Sports North (FSN) throughout the course of Hockey Day Minnesota.  The other finalists were Harper Powell, a 12U player from Two Harbors Youth Hockey Association and Allison Ryan, a 10U player from Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association. The finalists were selected by a committee from entries submitted by boys and girls around the state on the topic of “I Can Be a Great Teammate By…”

As the winner of the contest, Kaliszewski will receive a Minnesota Wild dream day during the 2019-20 hockey season.
