It was a weekend of high level competition at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, MN as the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Tier I League hosted four Youth 15 Tier I teams from outside the state.

The Minnesota squads fared well, going a combined 9-7-1 against the external competition. Team Wisconsin, spending its second straight weekend in Minnesota, showed its strength once again by knocking off the previously unbeaten Green Giants and handing out four of the losses to Minnesota teams.

The Sioux Falls Power, formerly Stampede, split its games on the weekend, and the New Jersey Hitmen went 1-2-1 during its visit.

Perhaps the biggest story of the weekend were the Walleye. After losing three of its first four games, albeit all three against the League's current top two teams, the Walleye won all four of its games this weekend, including a 4-2 victory over Team Wisconsin. The Walleye now sit third in the standings behind the Green Giants and Blue Ox, who both sit at 8-1.

Garrett Schifsky (Andover) leads all skaters with 10 goals and 13 points over nine games to drive the Green Giants. Schifsky's teammate Henry Bartle (Blaine) is tied for the league lead in assists (10) with Joseph Delgreco (Grand Rapids).
