The Rec League hockey season, presented by Hiway Federal Credit Union, has started strong with our Skills Clinics. In just a few weeks, we'll be moving into our regular season schedule. The announcements listed below are all important, so please read thoroughly.
ROSTERS & NEED FOR GOALIES
Rosters are now available. Please click on the appropriate age level below to find your roster:
All age levels (except for 14U) are still seeking more goalies, so if your player is interested in playing goalie, or if you have any questions about your roster, please contact the appropriate age level coordinator HERE.
LOCKER ROOM PROTOCOL
Each Rec League ice time includes two coed locker rooms. The locker rooms are to be used for putting on hockey equipment. While in the locker room, all players must wear a layer of outer clothing at all times (e.g., jock shorts, leggings/tights, t-shirt). If players must change their outer layer of clothing, they must do so in the restroom. One screened adult must be in the locker room with players at all times and is expected to enforce this policy.
ICE SCHEDULE - SKILLS CLINICS
The full season schedule will be published within the next two weeks. Clinics are ongoing, and players may attend up to three of these sessions. For a list of clinics for each age group, please click HERE.
Jerseys and socks will be distributed to coaches within the next two weeks. Coaches will handle distributing uniforms prior to the first game of the season.
The presenting partner of the Rec League, Hiway Federal Credit Union, along with the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Hockey, are hosting a unique fundraiser called Hockey Kids4Kids to support kids being treated at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. Teams that raise $500 or more will be qualified to win a suite at a Minnesota Wild game. For more details, see the Hockey Kids4Kids Info Sheet.
We hope you've found this communication informative & helpful. If you have any other questions, please contact us HERE. Thanks for choosing the Rec League!
