The first shutout of the weekend belongs to District 6 (Red) as Molly Goergen and Alexandra Pellicci combine for a 10 save shut down. Their 1-0 victory over District 2 (Black) comes at the hands of Zoie Dundon’s unassisted short-handed breakaway goal eight minutes into the opening half. District 6 threw 37 shots on net but were unable to find the back of it more than once. A very solid effort by District 2 goalies Jori Jones and Abigail Thompson. Thompson stopped 19 in the opening half which was followed by 18 saves from Jones the second half.
