FASTHockey to Broadcast CCM HP Tier 1 Games

Minnesota Hockey & FASTHockey Partner To Offer More Than 120 Games For Viewing by Scouts, Families and Fans

St. Paul, MN – August 11, 2016 – Minnesota Hockey today announced a partnership with FASTHockey.com to become the official online broadcaster of the CCM Minnesota Hockey Tier 1 Leagues at the Youth 14, Youth 15 and Girls 14 levels. More than 120 games will be available for viewing among FASTHockey subscribers.

This will be the inaugural season for the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Tier 1 Leagues at the 14 and 15 age groups. Minnesota began its Tier 1 participation last season with teams at the Girls 19, Youth 18, Girls 16 and Youth 16 levels in partnership with the Upper Midwest High School Elite League and the Minnesota Prep Development League, which has since been renamed the CCM High Performance Prep Development League.

FASTHockey.com, a service of HockeyTech, is the world’s premier digital media partner for ice hockey national governing bodies, leagues, teams and events. The platform features high definition video, instant archival for VOD playback, advanced player features like pause, rewind and fast forward for live games, user generated instant replays and live dynamic reporting. Games can be viewed via desktop computers, Google TV, Roku and iOS and Android devices. Monthly subscriptions start as low as $22.99. Games played at Doug Woog Arena in South St. Paul will not be streamed.

“For many players at the 14 and 15 levels, this will be their first introduction to CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance hockey,” said High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan. “The success of our Spring Festivals and Development camps has extended to the Tier 1 Leagues and we look forward to making them a first class experience. We feel the partnership with FASTHockey is a piece of that in that our players will not only be watched by scouts across the country, but also by friends and family.”

The 14 and 15 League schedules will be announced in the coming days following the finalization of the rosters within each district. The Youth 14 and 15 Leagues will feature seven teams, while the Girls 14 League will be made up of six teams. Festival weekends for these age groups will begin the weekend of August 26 – 28 at various sites throughout the state. League play will continue through September with League playoffs the weekend of September 30 – October 2. Teams will play 12 regular season games and at least three league playoff games. The Minnesota District Playoff to determine teams advancing to the USA Hockey National tournaments will be held October 7 – 8 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine.
