Former Roseau High School goalie Mike Lee has been called up to the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes. Lee becomes the first goalie who has participated in Minnesota Hockey’s Dave Peterson CCM High Performance Goalie Camp to make it to the NHL. He was at the 2007 camp in Blaine.

Lee was recalled from the Gwinnett Gladiators on Jan. 15, the club’s East Coast Hockey League affiliate (ECHL).

The 24-year-old Lee has posted a 1-3-1 record with a 2.98 goals against average (GAA) and an .897 save percentage (SV%) in five games with the Gladiators this season.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Roseau, Minnesota was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (91st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

Lee has played in five games for the Gladiators in 2014-15. He has accumulated a 1-3-1 record with a 2.98 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage. Lee has also been with the Portland Pirates of the AHL twice this year, but has not logged minutes during his assignments.

Lee was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (91st overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to this season, Lee played in 29 games for the Gladiators since 2012, totaling a 15-12-1 record, a 2.30 GAA, and a .913 SV%. He has also played in 21 AHL games for the Pirates across that same time span.

Prior to turning pro, Lee played three seasons for St. Cloud State. He played in 74 games for the Huskies, was 32-29-9, with a goals against average of 2.65.

Lee is the third Minnesota goalie to suit up for an NHL team this season. The others are John Curry, (Shorewood/Breck/Boston U), Minnesota Wild; Alex Stalock, (South St.Paul/UMD), San Jose.
