Minnesota Hockey has launched a series of videos called the Minnesota Hockey Update.  We will be profiling a variety of events over the course of the season.

This week we take a look at a recruiting event in New Prague that they call The Great Skate. Event organizers have been hosting it for a few years now, and participation has grown significantly over the last couple of years. For them, the most effective way to encourage new girls to try hockey has been to get their current girls players extremely involved in planning the event.  The girls help pick out almost everything from the design of the t-shirt that is handed out to the music that is played while they are on the ice.
