On Monday, February 24th at 10 am, Minnesota Hockey will announce the brackets for the South, East and West Region Tournaments at the Peewee AA and Bantam AA levels. A video will be posted on the Minnesota Hockey website and social media accounts with official brackets.

The video will provide participating teams, parents and fans with their first look at the tournaments’ brackets, including their first round pairings. The addition of this video is an important part of Minnesota Hockey’s effort to ensure its new format for AA Region tournaments goes smoothly this season.

Under the new format, a seeding process will be incorporated into selecting Region participants as well as the results of District tournaments which had been used exclusively in the past.  A panel of coaches, Minnesota Hockey Tournament committee members and District Directors will be meeting to rank the teams based on a number of factors, not just overall record.  This format created a situation in which communication with Region Tournament participants became more difficult.  Monday’s announcement video will fill that void while providing supporters of Minnesota Hockey Region and State Tournaments with new and exciting content.
