Every year, Minnesota Hockey’s Tournament Committee meets prior to the start of the new season to review the number of teams each District / Association(s) are declaring to play at what age groups (e.g., Squirt, Pee Wee, 12U, etc.) and levels (e.g., AA, A, B, etc.) for the upcoming season. Based upon this information, the Committee determines the appropriate number of Regionals based on the total team participation at every level of play.
