The duties and responsibilities of the Congress Representative include:
• To assist with the affairs of the district in cooperation with the Affiliate and the USA Hockey Board of Directors and to assume other responsibilities as may be appropriate when possible.
• To serve as the first contact from the District/Affiliate to USA Hockey.
• To act as USA Hockey’s trouble shooter in his/her district and facilitate the resolution of disputes within the Affiliate.
• To serve as the tournament director for district, regional and national tournaments held within his/her district.
• To attend Affiliate meetings.
• To disseminate information from the USA Hockey national office.
• To attend USA Hockey annual/semi-annual meetings.
· To serve on USA Hockey Councils, Sections and Committees as assigned.
• To inform USA Hockey when any USA Hockey bylaws, rules and regulations are not being complied with.
The term of this vacancy was to expire at the conclusion of the USA Hockey Annual meeting in 2026. Accordingly, the individual elected to fill the vacancy term will end at the conclusion of the 2026 USA Hockey Annual meeting. An election for the next three year term will be conducted in April/May 2026.

The Special Election will be conducted virtually on May 28, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Minnesota Hockey Board members will cast votes based on the number of registered players and coaches in their respective areas of responsibilities.
