White 2, Sky Blue 3

Team Sky Blue outshot Team White 33 to 18 shots-on-goal, but Team White kept it close in today's opening matchup. Adley Vigness (Crookston) scored the lone goal of the first period to give Team Sky Blue the lead at half.

In a back-and-forth second-half battle, Team Sky Blue and Team White saw four different goal-scorers find the back of the net. Hadley Bakker (Osseo-Maple Grove) scored for Sky Blue after nine minutes of play to make it 2-0. Less than a minute later, White’s Kenna Hatleli (Rosemount) answered with a goal of her own to bring the score back within one.

Team White’s Taryn Wernecke (Dodge County) tallied another to tie the game 2-2 with 6:16 left. However, a game-winning goal from Audrey Davis (Edina) a minute and ten seconds later would snuff White’s run and help secure the win for Sky Blue.

Green 1, Royal 3

Brynn Heising (Wayzata) scored within the first 30-seconds to open the second game of the day between Team Royal and Team Green. After a scoreless twenty-three minutes, Green’s Marley Honsey (Buffalo) found the back of the net with 1:01 left to tie it going into the half.

Angela Cody (Eden Prairie) and Taylor Hall (Rogers) each tallied second-half goals for Team Royal to bring the final score to 3-1.

Red 1, Gold 2

Reese Peroutka (Northfield) opened the scoring for Team Gold with an assist from teammate Sophia Menne (Andover) after five minutes of play. Sarah Johnson (Moundsview) tied things up for Team Red with an unassisted goal four minutes later.

Goalie Olivia Nedved (Anoka) defended 31 shots-on-goal to keep the tie and lead Team Gold into a shootout, despite being outshot by Team Red by 48 to 10. Makayla Gore (Apple Valley) was the only player to find the back of the net during the shootout, securing a Team Gold win.
