Boys 15 Summer Camp Recap: Day 5

Sky Blue 5, White 3

Sammy Nelson (Osseo-Maple Grove) started the scoring on the day for Sky Blue to take a 1-0 lead. Liam Grant (Mound Westonka) tied it up halfway through the first half on a tip-in goal, but Casey Vandertop (Edina) regained the lead for Sky Blue shortly after, which stood through the rest of the first half.

In the second half, Caden Dionne (Sioux Falls) tied the game up quickly with an early goal to make it 2-2. Halfway through the second, Jace Panzer (East Grand Forks) scored to give Sky Blue the lead at 3-2. Late in the second, Casey Vandertop (Edina) gave Sky Blue a two-goal lead before Michael Berchild (Shattuck St. Mary's) scored for White to bring the game back within one. Ryder Siedow (Forest Lake) scored an empty-net goal late in the second to seal the win for Sky Blue.

Green 2, Royal 2

Preston Deragisch (Sartell) got the scoring started for Green with an early goal in the first half. Zac Zimmerman (Moorhead) scored for Royal to tie it back up in the first before Nathan Chorlton (Cretin Derham Hall) gave Royal the lead. With twelve seconds left in the first, Brayden Klande (Sartell) tied the game up for Green at 2-2.

The second half saw competitive back-and-forth play between both teams with many chances on both sides, but ultimately neither team could find another goal as the game would end in a 2-2 tie after the second half.

Red 3, Gold 6

In the third game of the day, Devin Jacobs (Sartell) got Gold on the board first with his goal halfway through the game, but Red quickly responded with three goals in six minutes from Nathan Garski (Grand Rapids), Colton Bialke (Rock Ridge) and Samuel Horstman (Alexandria) to take a 3-1 lead. Just before the half ended, Devin Jacobs (Sartell) added his second of the night to bring the score to 3-2 at the end of the half.

In the second half, Gold took control, with four goals coming from Quinton VeDepo (Rosemount), Coleman Bumgarner (Benilde St. Margaret's) and Devin Jacobs (Sartell) added two more goals to bring his goal total on the night to four. For the Red team, Joseph Hemr (Centennial) had two assists, and on the Gold team, Zaden Brua (Albert Lea) had two assists, Luca Jarvis (Stillwater) had three assists and Riley Zupfer (Hill Murray) had four assists.
