Boys 15 Summer Camp Recap: Day 4

Red 2, White 5

Wyatt Cordts (East Grand Forks) got the scoring started on the day for the White team, putting his team up six minutes into the game, but the Red team quickly responded with a goal from Cal Scott (Rock Ridge) to tie the game at one. Gabe Lindholm (Minnetonka) responded soon after with a goal for White, which brought the score back to 2-1. A little over halfway through the first half, Samuel Horstman (Alexandria) tied it up for Red, but Dakotah Bailey (Gentry) would quickly restore the lead for White seven seconds later at 3-2, which would stand for the rest of the half.

The second half started slowly, with both teams trading shots before Elijah Fitch (Sauk Rapids) extended White's lead by two. Bode McConnell (Edina) added to White's lead with a goal.

Green 7, Sky Blue 3

After a back-and-forth start to the game, Jace Panzer (East Grand Forks) got Sky Blue on the board to take a 1-0 lead. Green then took the lead on three quick goals from Brock Cheslock (Rogers), Luke Puchner (Waconia) and Preston Deragisch (Sartell). Wyatt Cullen (Moorhead) got one back for Sky Blue to bring the game within one halfway through the first half.

In the second half, Carter Ernst (Lakeville South) scored first to extend Green's lead back to two goals, and Luke Puchner (Waconia) added his second of the day to push the lead to three. Casey Vandertop (Edina) chipped away at the lead for Sky Blue before Preston Deragish (Sartell) scored his second of the day to push Green's lead back to three. Jimmy Egan (Mahtomedi) scored for Green later in the second half to bring the lead up to four.

Nathaniel Pederson (Shakopee) had two assists and Carter Ernst (Sartell) and Jimmy Egan (Mahtomedi) also had two assists to go with their goals.

Royal 5, Gold 2

In the last game of the day, Zac Zimmerman (Moorhead) got the scoring started with a goal early in the first half to put Royal up 1-0. Seven minutes later, teammate Franklin Loo (Forest Lake) scored for Royal to push their lead to two before Riley Zupfer (Hill Murray) scored a goal in the last minute of the first half to bring the game within one.

In the second half, Devin Jacobs (Sartell) scored an early goal to tie the game up at 2-2, and the score would hold for nine minutes until Amir Chebaclo (Edina) broke the tie in favor of Royal. The score would remain the same until Royal added two late empty-net goals from Caden Lichter (Spring Lake Park) and Hayden Reierson (Moorhead) to win the game 5-2.
