The 2023 CCM High Performance Tier I & Prospects Fall League registrations and league information are now available online for the Girls 14U (2009/2010), Youth 14U (2009/2010), Youth 15O (2008) and Youth 16U (2007) age groups. Some tryouts have already occurred at the Youth 18U (2005/2006) level.

Players must register with Minnesota Hockey to participate in tryouts, which will span from early June through July, depending on the district.

All teams from the Youth 14U and Youth 15O Tier I classifications are scheduled to compete against national Tier I competition during the NAHL Showcase in Blaine the weekend of September 14-17. Girls Tier I 14U teams will participate in a National Invitational Tournament in Andover, MN, on Oct. 20-22. In addition, the Youth 14U and Youth 15O leagues are each set to form two select teams to participate in the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh, Penn., and the Girls 14U league will send two select teams to the WCS Summer Festival in Palatine, Ill.

The Prospects Youth 14U League will once again offer players not selected for 14U Tier I teams the opportunity to train and compete with each other in a fall league. The Prospects Girls 14U League, which is similar to the Youth 14U League, will mirror the Girls 14U Tier I League dates and locations.

Five teams from the 2022 CCM High Performance Fall Leagues represented Minnesota at the 2023 USA Hockey National Championships. The Walleye of District 3 won the USA Hockey Girls Tier I 14U National Championship with a 2-0 victory over Little Ceasars, claiming their first national title. The Lakers of District 6 also competed in Girls Tier I 14U Nationals and went 3-0 in pool play before falling in the quarterfinals. The Grey Ducks (Youth 18U) went 1-2 in their pool play games. The Lakers of District 6 (Youth 14U Tier I) and Green Giants of District 10 (Youth 14U Prospects) represented the leagues at the Youth Tier I and Tier II National Championship and went 1-2 and 2-1 in pool play, respectively. The Green Giants fell in the quarterfinals.

Minnesota Hockey’s Tier I structure was established in 2016 to enhance Minnesota’s community-based association and high school model by bringing together the most talented players from all over Minnesota for high-quality training, player development and highly competitive League play as well as providing a path to compete in the USA Hockey National Championships. The League schedule is designed to allow participants to play for their association or high school team.
