Reece Cordray (Verona) had a hat trick to solidify a win for the Wisconsin Seniors. The rest of the Wisconsin goals came from Samuel Lyons (Bay Port), Alex Pottratz (Hudson), Conrad Moline (Verona), Carson Strapon (Hudson), and Colin Comeau (Onalaska). Team Colorado had one goal in the second from Noah Fekete (Valor Christian). Team Colorado’s goalie, Baden Johansen (Castle View) stopped 41 of 49 shots.
Peyton Blair (Centennial) scored first for Minnesota, followed by four unanswered goals from North Dakota. Luc Bydal (Grand Forks Red River) had two, including a powerplay goal. Wyatt Wokenfuss (Grand Forks Central) and Colton Getzlaff (Bottineau/ Rugby) both scored one goal for North Dakota.
Sam Kappell (Notre Dame Academy) had two goals for Wisconsin, while David Dina (Verona Area) and Carsen Gause (Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln) each had a goal and an assist. Devin Rustlie (Bay Port) and Rowan White (Madison Edgewood) combined to stop 21 of 22 shots with Michigan’s lone goal from Graham Newton (Ann Arbor Skyline).
It took a shootout for Michigan to improve to 2-0. Gavin Jensen (Roseau) scored two goals for Minnesota. Jack L’Esperance (Hartland) had a hat trick for Michigan. Nick Kutriak (Flint Powers) stopped 26 of 29 shots for the win.
