Section 4 vs. Section 3

Kylie Jones (Roseville/Mahtomedi) scores with 56 second left to give Section 4 their first win of the weekend. Addison Finn (Stillwater) put S4 on the board late in the first half on an assist from Lauren Schmidt (Chisago Lakes).  

Section 3 goalies Ava Brennan (New Ulm Chathedral) and Natalie Kendhammer (Rosemount) combine for 42 saves and  Sari Cords (Eastview) scored midway through the second half to tie the game. Final score 2-1 with shots favoring S4, 44-25.


Section 6 vs. Section 1

This is what Sunday hockey should look like.  Well matched teams playing hard to the end. Section 1 came back from a one goal and two goal deficits, tying the game at three midway throughtthe second half.  It took a shoot out to secure the 4-3 win over Section 6 in the Consolation game this afternoon. Shots 34-30 for Section 6.

Section 1 scoring from Ayla Puppe (Northfield), Lillian Hunst (Lakeville South) and Grace McCoshen (Northfield).  Puppe and Sawyer Fleming (Shattuck-St. Mary's) score in the shoot out.

Section 6 goals were scored by Elizabeth Hamel (Benilde St. Margaret's), Davy Mokelke (Wayzata) and Ella Pasqua (Benilde St. Margaret's).
 

Section 2 vs. Section 8

Section 2 jumps out to a two goal lead over Section 8 and hangs on through a mostly scoreless second half for a 3-1 win in the third place matchup. Gianna Kowalkoski (Eden Prairie), Ellie Zakrajsheck (Minnetonka) and Kendra Distad (Minnetonka) score a goal each with assists coming from Jana Lesch (Bloomington Jefferson), Allison Parker (Shakopee) and Bella Finnegan (Minnetonka).

Molly Pohlkamp (Brainerd) scores in the closing minutes of the first half bringing Section 8 within a goal, assisted by Ella Holm (Moorhead) and Olivia Kortan (Moorhead).


Section 5 vs. Section 7

Three unassisted, second-half goals were the difference, giving Section 7 a 3-0 win over Section 5 in the Championship game on Sunday night.

Hannah Graves (Proctor/Hermantown) and Izy Fairchild (Proctor/Hermantown) scored a minute apart and Katrina Thorson (Duluth Marshall) added the third in the final seconds of play.  Shots on goal were 23-20 for Section 5.
