The final full day of camp snuck up on the campers, finishing up a full and productive week of hockey.  The 14's started the day with morning practice divided into defensive and offensive skill sessions.

And the players spent an hour in the Yoga Studio on campus where they learned the importance of training not just strength and cardio, but mobility and flexibility as well.  Mobility work is often left behind in a lot of athlete's training regiments but is an integral part of an athletes strength and resiliency to injury.

After lunch they squared off in the second set of full games this week.  And headed to the Husky Den for a talk on Nutrition, and most memorably learned the importance of hydration and how to monitor your intake by keeping an eye on your output.

Team Green2 won yesterday's 3 on 3 championship over Team Royal 2, and White 1 prevailed over Green 1 in the third place contest.

Sky Blue 3 Gold 2

After an even first half and a tough battle through 44 minutes, Team Sky took the win on a goal by Mia Miller (Northfield) with 4 minutes left in the game.  Reese Costley (Two Harbors) and June Semling (Champlin Park) scored  Sky's remaining goals.

Grace Kemp (Stillwater) saved 25 of 27 shots for Sky, playing the full 48 minutes.

Katie Ball (Centennial) and Julia Gerdes (Andover) each scored a goal for Team Gold.

Green 3 Royal 2

Royal Blue climbs back up from a 2 goal deficit and ties it up  midway thru the 2nd half. Allison Ryan (Minnetonka) scored first in the final minute of the first half and Paige Johnson (South St. Paul) tied it up in the middle of the second.

Kaelyn Holmen (Stillwater) nets the game winning goal with 3 minutes left for Team Green.  Green's two other goals were scored by  Ella Bond (St. Paul Academy) and Haley Box (Flames).

Clairebella Hills (Orono) saves 18 of 19 in the 2nd half for Team Green, with the shot advantage going to Royal Blue 33-27

Red 2 White 1

A tale of two halves, all 3 goals were scored in the first half with Red and White, matching each other shot for shot. The 2nd half was all defense and the difference was a short handed goal by Emma Peroutka (Cannon River) to give Red the win.

Elli Petronack (Hill-Murray) and Charlotte Theirl (Edina) scored for Teams Red and White, respectively.

Shots were even in both halves, finishing with 20 shots each.
