Day 2 started with a dynamic warm-up and practice.  CCM was also on campus showing off the latest gear and players were given the chance to look at the equipment and ask questions about gear, sticks and skates.

After lunch things got busy! The teams squared off for their first round of games, each being more competitive than the last with a pair of one goal games and a tie to kick things off.

There was time spent in the Yoga Studio.  Players learned the importance of training not just strength and cardio, but mobility and flexibility as well.  Mobility work is often left behind in a lot of athlete's training regiments but is an integral part of an athletes strength and resiliency to injury.  The takeaway for players, "Your Mind will fail you before your body", or in other words, you are more capable than you know.

And to finish things off, Derek Ricke, Marketing and Communications Director for Minnesota Hockey talked to the girls about social media and the impact it can have on athletes.  Your social media tells the world about you, so make sure you are sending the message that you want people to hear.

A single goal by Callie Arthur (Edina) was the difference to open up this afternoon's game schedule. Celina Dewandeler (Centennial) and Ana Ojala (Rosemount) combine for a 26 save shut out and Makena Underwood (Farmington) saved 18 of 18 first half shots for Royal.  Shots on goal favored White 30-26.
