The 2022 CCM High Performance 14 and 15 Summer Development Camps are set to begin Saturday on the St. Cloud State University campus in St. Cloud, MN. The week-long camps will feature the top boys and girls in Minnesota in the 2007 and 2008 birth years.

The Girls 15 Development Camp will open the action this Saturday, June 11, with the Girls 14 beginning on Sunday, June 12. The Girls Camps will conclude on June 16. The Boys 15 Development Camp will be held June 18-23 and the Boys 14 will run from June 19-23.

“Our camp is called a development camp,” said Girls 15 Camp Coaching Director, Amber Fryklund. “It is an evaluation to move on to the next level, but we’re here to develop these kids first and foremost.”

“These players at camp are 14 and 15 year olds so everyone at camp can get better at everything as a hockey player. Really, we just want to make sure the kids have a great experience at camp; that they learn new things and can leave here being a better player, a better teammate and know how to continue working on their game.”

Players at the summer camps will be exposed to a series of on-ice and off-ice development sessions, including areas such as proper weight training and stretching techniques, developing mental skills, video sessions and position specific skills. Players will also be split into teams and compete against other top players in games each day, providing opportunities for players to implement what they learn in practice.

The camp is led by current and former coaches from the Division I, Division III and high school levels, as well as current professional players. Current college players at the Division I and III levels serve as counselors.

Rosters and team schedules for the camps are now posted online. Follow the links below to view the rosters for the appropriate camp.

The Boys and Girls 14 Summer Camps serve as the final phase of the CCM High Performance Programs for that age group.

The top players from the Boys and Girls 15 Summer Camps will be chosen to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival/camp sponsored by USA Hockey involving the best players from each of the USA Hockey districts. The national festivals/camps are used by USA Hockey to identify the top performers in each age group for possible opportunities to represent the U.S.A. at advanced levels of national and international hockey competition.
