Vieau and Uhlenkamp each chip in three points to lead Blue 16s to a 5-4 win over White 17s

Dallas Vieau (Hermantown) scored two goals with an assist and Gavin Uhlenkamp (Chanhassen) had a goal and a pair of assists to help lead the Blue 16s to a 5-4 win over the White 17s Sunday afternoon at Plymouth Ice Center.

Will Zellers (Shattuck-St. Mary’s) added a goal and assist to give him three goals and seven points through three games. Vieau finished the weekend with a team-best five goals and eight points.

Andrew Lane (Hil-Murray) made 18 saves in the first half, and Conner Roff stopped 8 of 11 shots he faced. 

For White, goals were scored by Jordan Ronn (Champlin Park), Sam Scheetz (Chaska), Cooper Conway (Andover), as well a goal and two points for Jackson Nevers (Edina).  -- Drew Herron


B16/17: Three skaters produce three points each as White 16s down Red 17s via 6-4 final

B16/17: Trey Dionne (Jr. Gamblers) scored twice, and John Hirschfeld (SC Cathedral) and Jackson Smithknecht (STMA) tallied three points as White 16s skated past Red 17s with a 6-4 victory Sunday morning at Plymouth Ice Center.

White 16s scored three goals in the first half, and three in the second as White never trailed on the road to the win. Sam Harris (Mahtomedi) and Keaton Weis (Rogers) also scored for White, who outshot Red 34-31 for the game. 

Rhys Wallin (Wayzata) nets goal and two assists for Red 17s, whose record falls to 0-3 on the weekend. 

Kim Hendrickson (Holy Family) stopped 15 of 17 shots in one half, and Gavin Schahn (Centennial) made 12 saves on 14 shots as White finished the weekend with a 1-2 team mark.  -- Drew Herron


Blue 17s offense ignites big against Red 16s

Hunter Anderson (Shattuck-St. Mary’s) and Noah Urness (Roseau) each scored a hat trick and five points as the Blue 17s rolled to a convincing 11-1 victory over the Red 16s.

Moreover, eight different skaters finished with at least two points, with Parker Osborn (Holy Family), and Kyle Doll both finished with a goal and two assists, and Tyler Barsness (Coon Rapids) added two goals for Blue. Blue scored five in the first half, and six in the second as the team went 2-1 for the weekend. 

Red’s only goal came late in the first on a power play goal by Michael Risteau (Benilde-St. Margarets).  -- Drew Herron
