Minnesota Hockey hosted its annual awards dinner on Saturday, April 23 to honor its 2022 award winners. The banquet served as a celebration of the recipients’ dedication to youth hockey over decades of service.

Each year Minnesota Hockey recognizes outstanding volunteers and athletes for their leadership with a series of scholarships, service awards, President’s Awards, an MHOA Service Award, the Ted Brill Award and the Don Clark Award.

The 2022 recipient of the prestigious Don Clark Award was Greg Gibson (Plymouth, MN), who served as the Wayzata Youth Hockey Association president for an unprecedented stretch of 17 years. Gibson was also instrumental in the growth of junior gold hockey, volunteering as a team manager in Wayzata and serving on the Junior Gold High School League (JGHSL) board in numerous capacities over the past 20 years.
