The closest game of the day in Girls 17 came in the third place game.  Despite Section 2 A/AA out pacing and out shooting Section 7 A/AA 14-6 it remained coreless after the first half.  Section 2 A/AA broke things open on a goal from Ava Lindsay (Minnetonka).  Ella Boerger (Andover) tied things up three minutes later and things would stay that way until the two minute mark when Shelby Sandberg (Blaine) buried one for Section 7 A/AA.  Riley Toivonen (Grand Rapids-Greenway) and Adria Haley (Forest Lake) combined for 30 saves.  Boerger led all scoring in the weekend with six goals and three assists.
