Minnesota Hockey will host its seventh annual Association Leader Excellence Conference (ALEC) on April 29- May 1 at Sugar Lake Lodge in Grand Rapids, MN and the Marriott Minneapolis West in St. Louis Park, MN.

The conference provides volunteers in Minnesota with opportunities for learning best practices and networking with youth hockey leaders at the local, state and national levels. Sessions will be offered on a variety of topics such as local discipline, parent communication, growing the game, and diversity and inclusion.

“The Association Leader Excellence Conference is a way for the volunteer leaders in associations to learn from others as to what works best, and what to expect as they prepare for upcoming seasons,” said Glen Andresen, Minnesota Hockey Executive Director. “This year we’re excited to bring the event to Grand Rapids so more of our Greater Minnesota association leaders can benefit from it.”

Minnesota Hockey will again host a raffle for participating associations, featuring a total of $12,000 in grow the game prizes. There will be a grand prize of $5,000 and a second prize of $1,000 drawn randomly from the participants at each location. Associations will receive one entry for each attendee.
