2022 Minnesota Hockey Elections Set for April 24

Minnesota Hockey will host four elections during its Annual Meeting this spring.  Two Minnesota Hockey Board positions are up for election as well as two USA Hockey District Director positions. These elections will take place during the Minnesota Hockey Annual Board Meeting on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Anyone interested in running for these positions should contact Nominating Chair, Dave Margenau. The deadline for interested parties to submit interest and a hockey resume is March 31, 2022.

President – Preside at meetings of the association and Board of Directors. The President or appointed designee(s) shall have the power to address any matters pertaining to Minnesota Hockey activities which seem to be in the best interest of Minnesota Hockey.

Vice President, Maroon Coordinator – Organize and supervise all sanctioned regional events, including tournaments, and support the activities of the District Directors within the Maroon Region.  The Maroon Region consists of Districts 1, 2, 3, 6, 8 and 10.

Vice President, Marketing & Communication – Responsible for organizing all information related to the enhancement and awareness of Minnesota Hockey.  This includes development of and activation of corporate partnership and supplier relationships, media relations and marketing plans.

USA Hockey Girls’/Women’s Section Representative - The primary responsibility shall be to represent Minnesota’s girls and women at USA Hockey.

2022 Minnesota Hockey Election Notice

During the Minnesota Hockey Board of Directors Annual meeting on April 24, 2022 elections will be conducted for the following positions:

President - Steve Oleheiser is the incumbent and will be seeking reelection.  At this time, there are no other candidates.

VP Maroon Region Coordinator - Scott Dornfeld is the incumbent and will not be seeking reelection.  Steve Gapinski has submitted his name to be placed on the ballot for the position of VP Maroon Coordinator.  At this time, there are no other candidates.

VP Marketing and Communications - Scott Gray is the incumbent and will be seeking reelection.  At this time, there are no other candidates.

Minnesota District Representative to the USA Hockey Girls' and Women's Section - Doug Foster is the incumbent and is seeking reelection.  Meredith Davis Lang and Amanda Reed have submitted their names to be placed on the ballot for Minnesota District Representative to the USA Hockey Girls' and Women's Section.  

During the election additional candidates may be nominated from the floor by a Board member.
