Drill of the Week: Carolina 1v1x2, 2v2

DESCRIPTION

  • Set lines of D at both dots and lines of forwards along the half wall on each side. Pucks should be at both dots.
  • Coach throws a puck in the corner for F1 to retrieve and attack the net with D1 actively defending. 
  • On a whistle, coach starts the same 1v1 battle on the opposite with F2 and D2. F1 and D1 move to the high slot.
  • On the second whistle, coach throws a final puck in. F1 and D1 re-engage and play out a 2v2 with F2 and D2. 
  • The next whistle ends the current 2v2 and begins the next rep with a new F1 and D1.
