Annual Used Equipment Drive Returns in October

Distribution will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 10 am.

The Minnesota Wild, Let’s Play Hockey and Minnesota Hockey today announced the organizations will partner for the annual Used Hockey Equipment Drive presented by Toyota across the Twin Cities. Two Men and a Truck will place drop-off boxes at select arenas shops starting Thursday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 10. Two Men and a Truck will also collect the drop-off boxes at the arenas.

   From 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Oct. 16, thousands of pieces of donated equipment will be distributed free to hockey associations and individuals at Xcel Energy Center. Goalie equipment, sticks and helmets are always the most in need.

   Drop-off locations this year include: Ames Arena (Lakeville), Bernicks Arena(Sartell), Braemar Arena (Edina), Coon Rapids Ice Center, Delano Sports Arena, Eden Prairie Community Center, Hastings Civic Arena, HealthEast Sports Center(Woodbury), Minnetonka Ice Arena, Parade Ice Garden (Minneapolis), Plymouth Ice Center, Rogers Activity Center, Rosemount Ice Arena, Roseville Ice Arena, Shakopee Ice Arena, St. Louis Park Rec Center, St. Croix Rec Center (Stillwater), Tartan Arena (Oakdale), TRIA Rink (St. Paul) and White Bear Lake Sports Center.

   Sponsors and partners for the program include: Two Men and a Truck, Let’s Play Hockey, Minnesota High School Hockey Coaches Association, Minnesota Hockey, Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association, the Minnesota Wild and Toyota.
