Minnesota Hockey will host its sixth annual Association Leader Excellence Conference (ALEC) on August 6-7 at the Marriott Minneapolis West in St. Louis Park, MN. The conference will provide youth hockey volunteers in Minnesota with opportunities for learning best practices and networking with leaders at the local, state and national levels.

Each year the Association Leader Excellence Conference draws approximately 100 youth hockey volunteers from 45-50 associations across the state.

“The Association Leader Excellence Conference is a great opportunity for the passionate volunteer leaders throughout Minnesota to come together and learn from equally energetic presenters and panelists who share their enthusiasm for the youth of Minnesota,” said Steve Oleheiser, Minnesota Hockey President. “We truly have incredible volunteers serving on our association boards, and we take pride in supporting their efforts to provide the best possible hockey experience to young players in their communities.”

This year the conference returns to an in-person format after being held virtually in 2020 and will place an emphasis on providing opportunities for networking and idea sharing among participants. Conference attendees are expected to include, but are not limited to, association presidents, vice presidents, treasurers, registrars, hockey directors, growth coordinators and more.
