A post-dinner presentation by St. Cloud State University assistant coach Nick Oliver, a former star player at Roseau, was among the highlights Saturday of the first day of CCM High Performance Minnesota Hockey 15 Summer Development Camp.

Oliver, who attended the camp as a player, talked about the lasting friendships he made, most notably the one with Nate Schmidt, the former St. Cloud Cathedral and University of Minnesota star who played for the NHL's Vancouver Canucks last season.

Oliver also talked about the importance of striving to be a good person and how coaches at SCSU place more importance on the caliber of person than the quality of player when recruiting.
