St. Paul, MN – December 15, 2020 – Minnesota Hockey today announced a partnership with T-Mobile, a leader in wireless services and innovation. As the official communications partner of Minnesota Hockey, T-Mobile will be a premier partner of several grow the game initiatives, helping support key growth initiatives including Gear Up Minnesota and the Family Mentor Program, the CCM High Performance programs and the Minnesota Hockey Recreation League.
T-Mobile’s support of the Gear Up Minnesota equipment grant program and Family Mentor Program will help make hockey in Minnesota more affordable and accessible. Gear Up Minnesota, which assists local associations in outfitting new players with equipment, has donated over $700,000 in youth hockey equipment since its inception in 2010. The Family Mentor Program was launched in 2018 and is designed to reward current youth hockey families for providing a welcoming environment as mentors of new hockey families.

The Minnesota Hockey Recreation League is entering its 12th season of offering players in the greater metro area a low cost, low commitment hockey option. The Rec League focuses on teaching basic hockey skills and sportsmanship in a no-check and low pressure environment that fosters a love of hockey.
In addition to supporting various Grow the Game initiatives, T-Mobile will be a supporting partner of the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs, including the Spring Festivals and Fall Tier I Leagues.
