Junior Gold Holiday Classic Added On Dec. 31-Jan. 2

Minnesota Hockey is excited to announce it will once again host a series of special events, designed to provide unique experiences and opportunities for players on community-based teams throughout Minnesota, at TRIA Rink in Saint Paul and the Super Rink in Blaine.

Minnesota Hockey is partnering with the Super Rink to host a new tournament for Junior Gold and Girls 19U teams this year called the Herb Brooks Holiday Classic! The tournament will feature a minimum of four games on Dec. 31, 2020-Jan. 2, 2021 at the Super Rink.

The Honor the Game Peewee A Tournament, in partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance, will return for its second year on December 4-6, 2020. Lauded for its one-of-a-kind emphasis on sportsmanship and creating a positive experience for everyone involved, the Honor the Game Tournament is designed to show young players how they can be fiercely competitive while respecting their opponents, the officials and the game.

This year’s Four Corner Festival, which is set for January 15-17, 2021, will provide four 12U B teams from across the state an opportunity to meet in St. Paul for high quality games and training. Unlike a traditional tournament, Minnesota Hockey’s Four Corner Festivals provide a combination of practices, small-sided games and full-ice games designed to challenge players and coaches in a variety of ways.

Minnesota Hockey’s fourth annual Ice Bowl Squirt C Tournament is scheduled for February 4-7, 2021. The Ice Bowl provides Squirt C teams with a special experience at the Minnesota Wild’s practice facility, including at least three games, a gift for each player and opportunities to tour the arena.

“We’re very excited to be able to host these events again this season,” said Mike Terwilliger, Minnesota Hockey’s Hockey Programs Manager. “We want every player in Minnesota to fall in love with hockey and create lifelong memories with their teammates. There’s nothing like community-based hockey, and we take a lot of pride in adding to that experience through events like these.”

Additional details on each event are available here and questions should be directed to Mike Terwilliger. Teams interested in participating in any of these events should complete the online application.
