The Minnesota Hockey Recreation League has canceled all remaining practices and games this season due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and a desire to adhere to recommendations from Governor Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health regarding social distancing.
The Rec League board met and determined that it was not a feasible option to reschedule the remaining events given the uncertainty of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and logistical factors involved with staging the events at a later date (i.e. date selection, ice availability, spring sports/activities, etc.).
The Minnesota Hockey Recreation League cares about the safety of our members above all else, and on behalf of our board, I want to wish all of our families a safe spring during this tumultuous time.
Further information can be found at the Minnesota Department of Health Coronavirus page.
Sincerely,
Eric Hedblom
President
