On Hockey Day Minnesota 2020, Minnesota Hockey announced Tyler Hill, a Peewee player from Elk River Youth Hockey Association, is the winner of the 2019-20 Minnesota Hockey Essay Contest, presented by Park Dental. 

Hill was one of three contest finalists that were highlighted on Fox Sports North (FSN) throughout the course of Hockey Day Minnesota.  The other finalists were Fayed Husain, a Peewee player from North Metro Youth Hockey Association and Sloan Quinn, a 10U player from Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato Youth Hockey Association. The finalists were selected by a committee from entries submitted by boys and girls around the state on the topic of “I Am Thankful I Play Hockey For [Home Association] Because…”

As the winner of the contest, Hill will receive a Minnesota Wild dream day during the 2020-21 hockey season.
