46 communities in Minnesota will participate in USA Hockey’s nationwide Try Hockey For Free Day, presented by SportsEngine, on Saturday, November 9. The event is designed to provide children who have never played hockey a free and easy opportunity to try the game.

No experience is necessary for kids to participate, and host sites will have a limited supply of equipment available for participants to use during the event. Certified USA Hockey coaches and volunteers will also be available to provide assistance on and off the ice.

Each year approximately 1,500 kids in Minnesota participate in Try Hockey For Free Day, and now in its tenth year, the event has introduced a total of over 192,000 children to hockey nationwide.
