2019-20 NHL Season Opens with Many Minnesota Players on New Teams

The 2019-20 National Hockey League (NHL) season is officially underway! Taking the ice on opening night will be 34 players from Minnesota, as well as four more who made opening night rosters but will begin the season with an injury or suspension.

The players come from 29 communities in the State of Hockey, ranging from Hastings up to East Grand Forks, from St. Cloud to Virginia and every corner of the metro area. Nearly all of them (33) played high school hockey, and all but one participated in the CCM High Performance (formerly Select/Advanced) programs.

Minnesota Hockey wishes the best of luck to all of the great players that call Minnesota home!
