Another weekend of on-ice action is in the books, this time happening upon Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine.

A bout of bad luck for the Voyageurs on Friday, losing their only goaltender for the entire weekend during a 4-0 loss to the Green Giants in Game 1 of the weekend. Luckily, teams banded together and helped out a team in need, lending their own tendys to help out. The Moose avoided a shutout loss to Team Wisconsin in Game 2, Delaney Fleming (Rochester Lourdes) tallying a late goal in the second half for the 3-1 final. The Walleye, who went undefeated through four games, bested the Polars, 2-0, in the final game of the night.

Saturday had plenty of suspense with three games resulting in ties and two one-goal games. Propelled behind two goals from Justyce Ohlgren (Rogers) the Green Giants topped the Loons, 3-1 in the day's first game. Simultaneous games between the Blue Ox and Moose, and the Walleye and Lakers each ended in 3-3 all. Blue Ox goalie Demetra Walsma (Osseo-Maple Grove) stood on her head, turning away 48 of 51 shots on goal. Two early second-half goals from Walleye's Alexa Niccum (Mound Westonka) forced the tie, and goalie Kayla Simonson (Delano) made 30 saves in the tie. North Dakota followed up with a 5-2 win over the Polars--Madison Hanson (Fargo) tallying three points (two goals, one assist) and Jaidyn Nass (Williston) with two goals as well--, and Wisconsin defeated the Voyageurs, 3-2. The Loons and Polars skated to a 2-1, with the Loons getting the W, and Wisconsin took another win, this time over the Blue Ox 4-1. The Moose and North Dakota added another 3-3 game to the docket --Taylor Brueske (Fargo) registering two goals and Nass adding another three points (one goal, two assists)-- and the Walleye beat the Voyageurs 4-0 in the final game of the evening.

Sunday featured five games to bookend the weekend. The Loons took down North Dakota, 6-2, and the Walleye topped the Blue Ox 5-0 behind a hat trick from Gretta Pioske (Mound Westonka) and two assists from Grace Bickett (Orono). The Lakers beat the Voyageurs 4-1 and the Moose won against the Polars 5-1.
