Teams play for 1st, 3rd and 5th place.

On Thursday, the sixth and final day of camp, teams played for 5th, 3rd and 1st place. Ironically, the standings produced rematches of all three games played on Wednesday.

1st Place: Royal Blue (5) vs. Green (6)

Team Green finished the week unbeaten (5-0-1) and defeated Team Royal 6-5 to take 1st place on Thursday morning.

Royal struck first with 17:47 to go in the first half, and Green tied it just past the halfway mark of the half. Royal retook the lead on a shorthanded goal with 9:27 to go, but Green answered again to tie it heading to the break.

Green jumped to its first lead, 3-2, with 23:44 to go in the game. This time Royal answered to tie the game 3-3 with 19:41 to play. At this point Green took over, scoring three consecutive goals to make it 6-3 with 7:55 remaining. Royal did not go quietly though, scoring with 1:31 to play and again with seven seconds remaining to make it 6-5.

Shots on goal finished even at 33 apiece, and neither team converted on the power play.

3rd Place: Gold (1) vs. Red (3)

Team Red defeated Team Gold 3-1, after a 4-2 win last night, to take 3rd place.

Team Gold, much like last night, took a very quick lead just 34 seconds into the game. Red was held off the scoreboard until 7:53 to go in the second half, and scored again with 5:13 to play for a 2-1 lead. Red added an empty-net goal with 12 seconds to go to seal the win.

Team Red led Gold 32-20 in shots on goal.

5th Place: Light Blue (3) vs. White (6)

Team White played well all week, including three ties and a tight contest with Team Green, and finally got in the win column to take 5th place with a 6-3 win over Team Light Blue.

Light Blue struck first with 17:13 to play in the first period, but White answered with two goals in the middle of the frame. Light Blue scored with 1:30 remaining to tie it 2-2 at the intermission.

Light Blue started the second half strong, taking a 3-2 lead with 18:05 remaining, but White scored the final four goals of the game to win 6-3. White scored the go-ahead goal with 9:56 to play.

White outshot Light Blue 36-22. White avenged a 5-3 loss to Light Blue yesterday, and both teams were the others' only win of the week. Well played to both teams, who did not commit a penalty in the game.
