Minnesota Hockey has announced its selectees for the 2019 USA Hockey Boys Select 16 and 17 National Player Development Camps.  The top boys’ hockey players were selected to represent Minnesota following their performances at the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Final 54 Festivals held at Plymouth Ice Center.

“We’re excited to announce the players that will be representing Minnesota at the national camps this summer,” said High Performance Director, Mike MacMillan. “This is a great moment in each of their young careers. It will be an opportunity for them to train with and against the best players in the country.”

The boys selected will head to Amherst, New York for the national camps this summer. The Boys’ Select 16 will be held July 7 – 13. The Boys’ Select 17 camp will take place June 25 – July 1.

A total of 19 players selected also participated in a national festival last summer. Four of them, Wyatt Kaiser (Andover), Jonny Meiers (Eagan), Jake Ratzlaff (Rosemount and Nathan Schweitzer (Benilde-St. Margaret's), were selected to play on the U.S. Under-17 Select Team at the 2018 Five Nations Tournament.

Players may also be added to these lists in coming weeks as USA Hockey selects at large players from Minnesota and other parts of the country to participate in the national festivals.

The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Programs are conducted in conjunction with USA Hockey and are referred to as “Select” programs in other parts of the country. The national festivals/camps are used by USA Hockey to identify the top performers in each age group for possible opportunities to represent the U.S.A. at advanced levels of national and international hockey competition.
