Blake's Tristan Broz scores twice as 17 Red rallies past 16 White

Tristan Broz (Blake) scored twice to give him five goals for the weekend and lift 17 Red to a 4-2 victory against 16 White.

Broz and Luke Kron (Andover) scored first-half goals to give 17 Red a 2-0 cushion, but 16 White's Hogan Sinjem (Champlin Park) score early in the second half to make it 2-1. Broz's second goal, and one by Luke Kron (Andover) helped 17 Red hold on for the win.

Joshua Koziol (Elk River) stopped all 12 shots he faced for 17 Red, and teammate Dane Couture (Little Falls) stopped 10 of 12 shots in his half of work.

Nate Stone (Edina) scored a late goal for 16 White.

Second-half surge helps propel 17 White past 16 Blue

Three unanswered goals in the second half and flawless goaltending from Louden Hogg (Edina) helped push 17 White to a 3-1 triumph over 16 Blue.

Jack Smith (St. Cloud Cathedral), Evan Bushy (Thief River Falls) and Brody Lucas (Mankato West) scored as 17 White rallied from a 1-0 second-half deficit. Isaiah VanRyswyk (Albert Lea) scored a first-half goal for 16 Blue. 

Hogg, who won a state Class 2A championship with Edina in March, stopped all eight shots he faced. Carter Clafton (Grand Rapids) stopped six of seven shots in his half for 17 White.

Slukynsky scores winner for 17 Blue in triumph over 16 Red

Grant Slukynsky's (Warroad) second-half goal lifted 17 Blue to a 2-1 comeback victory over 16 Red.

Thor Byfuglien (Roseau) scored the lone goal of the first half to put 16 Red in front. 17 Blue's Joey Miller (Blake) tied the score at 1-1 midway through the second half. 

Slukynsky and Miller each scored three goals over the weekend's three games.

17 Blue goaltender Noah Rupprecht (Thief River Falls) stopped all seven shots he saw in the second half.
