Our Girls
Our girls really liked and cared for each other, so did the parents.
Our girls never let up in practice, never took a day off and never mailed it in. They gave us everything they had every time they stepped on the ice- game or practice.
Our girls were coachable and would skate through a wall if we told them it would help us win.
Our best players were our best leaders. They led by example on and off the ice.
Our girls decided on their own to pray before each game.
Our girls made it their goal at the start of the year of getting to and winning state.
Our girls had five different girls earn hat tricks and five different girls record three assists in games.
Our girls earned 18 shutout wins and won 10 one goal games. We were built from the back to the front. We had amazing skill at defense and goaltending that would break the other team’s spirit and heart. Our girls were not an easy team to play against.
Our girls had a relentless offense. Nobody forechecked harder or battled harder in the corners.
Our girls were one of only a handful teams in the state this year, boys or girls, with only one loss.
Our girls finished the season having not lost their last 19 games, going undefeated in districts and regions.
Our girls, while still having fun, they treated each tournament and this state tournament as a business trip. They had the best two weeks of practice they had all year leading up to state and were ready to take care of business.
Nothing will ever be able take away or diminish what Our Girls accomplished this year. We love them dearly and are so proud of them.
